7 steps to check safety before EVERY Binance P2P transaction 🔐
1️⃣ Check the counterparty’s profile
Review completion rate, number of transactions, activity history, and related badges. A profile with a clear transaction history will give you more information to assess the counterparty.
2️⃣ Check the correct payment account name
The payer’s information must match what is required in the transaction. If the counterparty asks to transfer to a different account or changes the information midway → stop and double-check carefully.
3️⃣ Only trade on Binance P2P
Don’t switch to Telegram, WhatsApp, or other platforms. When trading on the platform, you can use the chat system and the official dispute/complaint process.
4️⃣ Sellers: don’t release crypto just because of a screenshot
Transfer receipts or transfer notifications are not the final proof.
👉 Log in to your banking app/wallet yourself and check whether the money has actually been credited.
5️⃣ Be careful with unusual requests 🚨
Pay special attention when the counterparty:
- Asks you to trade outside Binance.
- Wants to change the payment account.
- Sends payment information that doesn’t match the order.
- Asks you to skip the usual process.
6️⃣ Save transaction evidence
You should keep the Order ID and the receipt/payment documents. This information may be useful if you need to check or file a complaint.
7️⃣ If there’s a problem → use the official support process
If a dispute occurs, use the order’s complaint/dispute feature and contact Binance Support for guidance.
