๐ Strive just bought 6,182 BTC in one week. Its biggest purchase to dateโฆ paid for above the current price.
๐ The facts (SEC filing dated October 26, 2026)
โข From October 17 to 23, Strive bought 6,182 BTC for approximately $511.4M
โข Average price: ~$82,732 per bitcoin, including fees
โข Total holdings: 43,000 BTC (up from 36,818 a week earlier)
โข Strive is now just behind Metaplanet (44,000) and Twenty One (43,514), and far behind Strategy (848,517)
โข The company is launching a preferred stock sales program for SATS of up to $1 billion to buy even more
๐ Where is the money coming from?
A week ago, Strive raised ~$630M by selling โSATSโ preferred shares that promise a 15% annual return on a $100 par value. It also issued ~3.3 million more common shares in one week. In short: the company is taking on debt (in the form of promised dividends) and diluting its shareholders to accumulate bitcoin.
โ๏ธ Some nuance
โข Bitcoin generates no income: dividends must be paid with cash or proceeds from new fundraising
โข With BTC around $80,000 this Monday (CoinDesk), this latest purchase is currently sitting on an unrealized loss of about 3%
โข A major buyer supports demand, but doesnโt guarantee prices will rise
๐ค Binta (a fictional character) sells bissap juice in Conakry and sets aside 5,000 Guinean francs every week. She doesnโt borrow at 15% to save. Strive does. Same asset, very different risks.
