When the ground shakes, the first thing that falls is not the buildings: it’s trust. And in a country where banking has been questioned so many times, seeing a financial institution fully engaged on the streets—distributing water and food in a shelter in Catia La Mar—is a sign the market pays close attention to. Not only because of the human aspect, but because of what it means in terms of reputation, social capital, and—yes—business.
📊 Volunteering that goes beyond the branch
Activo Banco Universal deployed a team of employees and corporate volunteers to the community of Playa Vasito, in Catia La Mar, an area affected by the earthquake of June 24. The day was held together with the international organization Operation Blessing and had the presence of Clara Vegas, brand ambassador. The goal was clear: to deliver food rations and potable water to children, adults, and families who were left living in temporary shelters.
