According to PANews, Reddit has filed a lawsuit against AI company Anthropic in the Superior Court of California, San Francisco. The lawsuit alleges that Anthropic has unlawfully scraped Reddit content over 100,000 times since July of last year to train its AI models, violating platform rules and misusing user data privacy. Reddit's Chief Legal Officer stated that the company had attempted to negotiate a licensing agreement with Anthropic, and the lawsuit is seen as a last resort to bring the company back to the negotiating table.
