$VANRY Sitting here in Islamabad with my chai, scrolling through some chain dashboards this morning (Jan 22 already wtf time flies), and Plasma (@Plasma ) keeps popping up in my head as one that actually feels useful instead of just another pump narrative.They built this L1 pretty much for stablecoins from day one.Zero fees on USDT transfers yeah the foundation covers gas via Paymaster so it’s basically free instant sends.
Blocks are stupid fast, sub second vibes, EVM friendly so nothing breaks when you bring over contracts.Security ties back in a way that doesn’t feel gimmicky. That combo alone makes it stand out for moving money around without bleeding fees.Stablecoin inflows look healthy.TVL is sitting nice (we’re talking billions territory), especially the lending pools utilization is high, people borrowing and supplying like it’s actually getting used daily.Not just liquidity farming then dumping, feels more sticky than a lot of chains I’ve seen come and go.The part that really hooks me is Plasma One though.That neobank thing they’re pushing virtual cards, physical ones too, cashback on spends, instant zero-fee USD₮ sends to anyone anywhere.
Works in a bunch of countries already, expanding hard into places like MENA, LatAm, Africa this year.
For someone here in PK, that’s huge. Sending dollars home to family and it lands in seconds instead of waiting days and getting raped by fees? That’s the kind of crypto that actually fixes shit.
$XPL is the glue staking validators (they’re decentralizing more this year), governance, rewards, keeping the network secure.
Price has been brutal since launch, no sugarcoating it, down heavy from the top.
But if stablecoins keep eating into traditional rails (and trillions are gonna move on-chain eventually), Plasma seems like it could grab a decent slice of the payments flow.
Could be wrong, market’s a casino half the time, but the usage metrics don’t lie so far.
Not shilling or anything, just what I’m seeing when I poke around.
If they keep dropping updates better bridges, more open validators, Plasma One getting smoother this might age well.
