Crypto card payment volume has climbed to a record $12.5 billion, up 140% year to date and 247% above October 2025 levels. According to ChainCatcher, The Kobeissi Letter said the increase has been driven by greater use of stablecoins as a payment rail and demand for cheaper, faster cross-border transactions.
QR code payments were another bright spot, with demand for QR code spending helping Jupiter Spend’s active card count rise 55% month over month. Jupiter Spend is one of the largest on-chain card providers.
Major players are also expanding in the crypto card market. Fold Holdings said earlier this year that it had begun issuing the Fold Bitcoin Credit Card to some waitlist members. The card runs on the Visa network, is supported by Stripe Issuing, can be used at 175 million merchants, and offers 1.5% Bitcoin cashback, up to 4%.
Aven has also launched the Aven Bitcoin Visa Card, which allows cardholders to borrow up to $1 million against Bitcoin, with rates starting at 7.99%.
