Binance has announced a significant update regarding the historical trading data on the candlestick charts of Terra (LUNA) spot trading pairs LUNA/USDT and LUNA/TRY. As per the update on 2024-01-30 17:50, LUNA/USDT and LUNA/TRY were trading at 0.6167 (-3.90%) and 18.82 (-3.83%) respectively.

After receiving feedback from its user community and to enhance the trading experience, Binance will clear specific historical trading data - that of Terra Classic (LUNC) - from the aforementioned trading pairs' UI candlestick charts.

Data prior to 2022-05-31 08:00 (UTC) for LUNA/USDT and data before 2022-09-16 08:00 (UTC) for LUNA/TRY will be removed from the visual representation in the user interface. This cleaning operation is set to commence on 2024-02-05 08:00 (UTC) and is expected to last about one hour.

Following this operation, the historical data will not be accessible via the GET /api/v3/uiKlines endpoint. However, the data extracted from the GET /api/v3/klines endpoint will remain unchanged, and the complete historical market data will still be available in the documented location.

Binance has reassured its users that this change will not influence trades for the LUNA/USDT and LUNA/TRY spot trading pairs. For additional information and updates, Binance users are redirected to the API Changelog.
