🌙 What actually happens when Wall Street closes but bStocks keep trading?

This was one of the questions I couldn't answer at first.🤝🤝🤝🤝

I understood that bStocks are tradable 24/7 on Binance.👍🏻

But then another thought came up:

"If the U.S. stock market is closed, where does the price come from?"

The answer is more interesting than I expected.

🤟🏼During regular U.S. market hours, the underlying stock is actively traded on traditional exchanges, and bStocks closely follow that market.🙀

After Wall Street closes, trading on Binance can continue because buyers and sellers are still placing orders for bStocks.

That doesn't mean the underlying stock is changing hands overnight.

😦It means the **market continues to discover a price** based on available information, news, expectations, and supply and demand between participants.😧

When the traditional market opens again, prices may quickly realign if new information appeared overnight.

This made me realize that 24/7 trading isn't about making the stock market stay open😲.

It's about allowing the market to continue reacting while traditional exchanges are offline.

If you notice a bStock moving while the underlying exchange is closed, don't assume something is wrong.🫤

Instead, ask yourself:

"What new information could traders be reacting to?"🫣

Myth. If the number in your wallet moves without you buying or selling anything, something's wrong with the token.

In reality, bStocks don't pay dividends out separately as USDT or cash. When the issuer receives a dividend on the underlying security, the net amount — after taxes, fees, and withholdings — typically gets reinvested into that same underlying asset. That adjustment shows up through the Multiplier mechanism rather than as a separate payout landing in your balance.

This means the raw token count in the smart contract can stay exactly the same while the balance Binance or a compatible interface displays to you goes up. The same mechanism handles regular and reverse stock splits — the underlying contract doesn't necessarily change, but what you see reflects the corporate action.

So if your displayed balance and the raw on-chain figure don't match, that's not automatically a loss of tokens. More often, it's just how BEP-677 represents a dividend or a split.

Why I'm Adding bStocks to a Crypto-Only Portfolio This Month

If your entire portfolio has lived in crypto, bStocks are one of the more direct ways to add something that doesn't move in lockstep with it — without leaving the exchange you already use.

The time-zone fit matters more than people expect. CIS hours don't line up neatly with US market open, and bStocks remove that constraint entirely — access isn't gated by when Wall Street happens to be awake.

The other piece is practical: I don't want to open a brokerage account just to hold $50 of Nvidia exposure. Fractional entry from $5, inside an app I already use, makes that a non-issue. Myth: Self-Custody Makes bStocks Less Trustworthy

Myth: because bStocks can be self-custodied on BNB Chain, they're harder to trust than an asset sitting in a regulated brokerage account.

In reality, self-custody is optional, not a requirement — you can hold bStocks on Binance the same way you'd hold any other spot asset. But if you do choose to move them to your own wallet, that doesn't weaken the backing. Token supply is verifiable on-chain against the issuer's actual holdings, meaning anyone can check that circulating bStocks match the collateral BTech Holdings actually holds.

That's a level of transparency a traditional brokerage statement doesn't offer — you're trusting a number on a screen there, not a verifiable on-chain record.

What happens if VIP 3 disappears while the position is still open?

Binance added ten bStocks, including $NFLXB and $ASMLB , as eligible Margin collateral on August 5. The headline sounds simple. The FAQ adds a condition I would treat as part of the position itself.

A trader can post a supported bStock as collateral, open exposure and later fall below VIP 3. Binance says the existing bStock collateral is not affected. At the same time, margin trading is temporarily disabled until the open positions are closed through Close Position.

So “the collateral stays” does not mean that nothing changes. The asset remains, but the account loses margin trading access.
⠀
Two other limits matter. bStocks can be used as collateral, but cannot currently be borrowed. Their collateral ratios can also change with market conditions.

Before using one, I would check the VIP buffer alongside Margin Level or uniMMR - not only the token price.

#bstockscis Guys, while following the development of bStocks, I noticed one detail that I think many people overlook. 👇

At first, I thought the update was simply about adding support for 10 more bStocks.

But then I realized the most interesting part wasn’t the companies themselves.

These bStocks can now be used as collateral assets for Margin trading, meaning they’re getting more practical use cases instead of just expanding the list of available assets.

Out of curiosity, I also made a simple calculation using $ASMLB .

If I invested 100 USDT:

+5% = 105 USDT

+10% = 110 USDT

+20% = 120 USDT

It’s simple math, but calculations like this help me understand what different price moves actually mean instead of just looking at percentages.

Personally, I like seeing bStocks evolve not only by adding more companies, but also by expanding how they can be used.
