I used to think “more information” meant “better trades.”
Turns out it mostly meant more noise.

So I started using a simple rule before every trade—and it’s cut my FOMO entries, revenge trades, and random over-leverage moments hard:

The 5-Minute Rule
Before you buy or sell anything, set a timer for 5 minutes and answer these 5 questions:

1) What’s my setup? (Breakout, pullback, range, trend?)
If you can’t name it, it’s probably impulse.

2) Where am I wrong? (Your invalidation)
No invalidation = no plan.

3) What’s my risk?
Pick a max loss you can accept before you click confirm.

4) What’s the time frame?
Are you trading 1 hour, 1 day, or 1 month?
Most people lose because they mix time frames mid-trade.

5) What would make me do nothing?
This is the secret. If you can’t describe the “no trade” condition, you’ll trade anything.

#Why this works
Markets don’t punish beginners for being wrong.
They punish them for being undisciplined.

The goal isn’t to “win every trade.”
The goal is to become the person who doesn’t blow up when a trade goes against them.
