If you look at the big picture, this move really stands out compared to the previous week, when the average daily volume was about 2.78 trillion SHIB, which is just over $36 million.
That makes this recent activity more than double the weekly average, and well above the seven-day low recorded on May 1, when volume dipped to 1.09 trillion SHIB, worth just $14.69 million.
Even though the number of transactions went up a great deal, the number of transactions per user did not increase as much. On May 5, the on-chain count hit 3,940 transactions. Thus, it looks like the surge was not driven by retail traders making lots of small moves. It is more likely that there were fewer but much larger transactions. These were probably tied to whales, internal transfers or pre-structured capital shifts.
It is unclear if this spike is a sign of bigger price movements or just large holders shifting their funds around. Either way, the sudden jump in volume has put Shiba Inu back on the map for those keeping an eye on the early signs in the altcoin market.

Shiba Inu’s recent rally has elevated investors’ hopes in SHIB, prompting many to anticipate the asset’s price in the next few years. 
Recall that Shiba Inu began its latest price surge on May 8. Before the rally, the price was hovering around $0.000012. Like most crypto assets, Shiba Inu rallied sharply on May 8, eventually hitting a multi-month high of $0.00001720. 

Although SHIB has retraced slightly to the $0.000016 mark, investors have remained optimistic about the asset’s prospects. Based on this renewed optimism, we consulted multiple entities for their Shiba Inu predictions for 2027 and 2030. 
While some of these predictions suggest that Shiba Inu could reach loftier targets within the timeline, others seem bearish.  
Shiba Inu 2027 Prediction 
For many investors, 2027 is crucial because it comes before the next Bitcoin Halving, slated for 2028. 
According to Changelly, Shiba Inu’s price would hover around the $0.00004 mark by 2027. Experts at Changelly set Shiba Inu’s 2027 minimum price target at $0.0000407 and projected that SHIB would hit a peak of $0.0000487 the same year. With Shiba Inu trading at $0.00001632, hitting the maximum target marks a 198.4% upsurge from the current value. 
However, prediction platform Telegaon seems more optimistic about SHIB’s prospects for 2027. The prediction platform forecasts that SHIB will trade at a minimum price of $0.0000945 and rise to a maximum target of $0.000198 by 2027. The maximum target marks a 1,113% gain from the current price.  

On the other hand, the leading chatbot model ChatGPT issued four different predictions for SHIB, setting bearish, moderate, bullish, and extremely bullish targets for 2027. 
The chatbot set a bearish target of $0.000025, a moderate price of $0.000085, a bull prediction of $0.00017, and an extremely bullish projection of $0.00034. The extremely bullish target of $0.00034 marks a 1,983% increase from Shiba Inu’s current value. 

As previously reported, ChatGPT projected that Shiba Inu could trade at $0.0008 by 2027. It suggested that market trends and ecosystem developments could drive SHIB’s 2027 price action. 
2030 Prediction 
These entities also set different targets for Shiba Inu by the end of the decade–2030. By 2030, Changelly experts expect SHIB to be valued between $0.000123 and $0.000150. This represents a 653%-819 % growth from the current price of $0.00001632. 
According to Telegaon, Shiba Inu could hit a minimum target of $0.000593 by 2030 and subsequently rise to $0.000712 in the same year, representing growths of 3,533% and 4,262%, respectively. 
Further, a panel of 26 industry experts set a price target of $0.0001971 by 2030, marking an upsurge of 1,107% from the current value. 
Meanwhile, ChatGPT sees Shiba Inu hitting bearish and moderate targets of $0.00004 and $0.00017 by 2030, respectively. Interestingly, the chatbot set bullish and extremely bullish targets for SHIB in the same year. 
According to ChatGPT, Shiba Inu could soar to a bullish target of $0.00043. It speculated that the price could hover between $0.00085 and $0.0017 under a highly bullish scenario.

The chatbot expects factors like Shibarium’s progress, increased SHIB burns, and broader crypto market dynamics as potential catalysts for Shiba Inu’s surge to these lofty targets by 2030. 
Nonetheless, it warned that these predictions are purely speculative while encouraging investors to conduct due diligence before investing in cryptos.

The memecoin Shiba Inu (SHIB) is once again turning heads after a jaw-dropping 6,519% spike in its daily token burn rate, signaling renewed bullish sentiment among traders. Despite a brief pullback, SHIB’s recent 20% weekly gain and sharp on-chain activity suggest momentum may be building.According to Shibburn, over 28.2 million SHIB tokens were destroyed in the past 24 hours, reversing last week's 80% decline in burn volume. The massive spike in burn rate has renewed discussions around SHIB’s tokenomics and reignited interest among bullish speculators.
SHIB Price Action: Resistance Still Holding Strong
At the time of writing, SHIB traded at $0.00001523, down 3.36% from its daily high of $0.00001577, per Binance. Despite the burn-fueled excitement, the memecoin failed to break above the descending trendline that has acted as resistance since November 2023.
Technical charts show SHIB remains within a long-term descending triangle pattern, with the recent price rejection occurring at the upper boundary. While momentum indicators like the Relative Strength Index (RSI) hover at a bullish 59, it’s still below the overbought threshold.

However, should SHIB fail to confirm the breakout, a drop back toward the critical support zone around $0.00001000 remains likely. This base level has acted as support multiple times throughout 2024 and early 2025.

Although SHIB’s sudden burn rate increase captured attention, many analysts warn that deflationary events alone don’t always drive sustainable rallies. In fact, SHIB’s market cap fell 3.7% to $9.2 billion in the same 24-hour period, indicating that macro factors may still dominate.
Traders on X debated the nature of the burn spike, with some suspecting coordinated marketing activity rather than genuine organic demand.

The market-wide retreat on May 13 hints at investor caution ahead of the upcoming U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) report, due May 15. With Bitcoin and Ethereum also losing ground, the pullback in SHIB may reflect broader risk-off positioning.

Henry also reminded that analysts predict a solid surge for Shiba Inu this year. The market observer shared their optimism, envisioning a “huge pump which is going to break all the past levels ATH and will be at least 790%.”
How About ADA?
Cardano’s native token was also on the list. Henry described it as the ocean: “calm, deep, and misunderstood.” However, the analyst argued that when ADA moves, it makes waves across the entire market. 
They further suggested that the asset was “built to last” and that Cardano “is shaping infrastructure.” In their view, ADA’s price is set to reach $3 later this year.
Other industry participants who recently touched upon the token’s performance and made optimistic predictions include Captain Faibik and STEPH IS CRYPTO. The former forecasted a “massive bullish rally” above $1.60 in the short term. 
The latter did not provide exact numbers, simply envisioning that ADA is about “to go parabolic.”
