At some point I'd love to team up with a really good IP lawyer to write a paper about about IP law issues in blockchain hardforking. Think this is a very underthought area of cryptolaw. Becomes very weird when there is non-FOSS code involved and I'm more and more convinced that answering every tough crypto governance question with "it's okay you can just fork" is totally wrong/lazy.

all Gorchain devs are non-Solana-insiders...a good test of various 'fork' scenarios where the contentious forking minority could be assumed to have zero support from the forking majority & has to figure out a lot of stuff on the fly. . .if we were to have done this during the Gensler era, SOL-related defenses to Gensler would probably have proudly cited Gorbagana as evidence of Solana's decentralization . . .

cultDAO--I first saw these guys at ETH Denver 2023, they were one of the last talks on the main stage

They were in these 4chan-style Anonymous masks, but like out of Greek tragedy, and were reading some crazy manifesto

I thought "thank God, the spirit of cypherpunk hacktivism is still alive in Ethereum"

I am always seeing @BudzyTV and others repping CULT on the timeline in the most based of ways.

More recently, I met @MrOmodulus online and learned they are building @ModulusZK with a famous compsci professor and are launching a zk L2 with plans to use it to bootstrap some deep R&D into new ZK scaling solutions .

To me, this is the best of both worlds--a professorCoin / cypherpunk DAO hybrid. Don't think that combo has ever been attempted before.

I'm very pleased to have @MetaLeX_Labs providing some legal/governance solutions for them and to have taken a stake in the network.

Hey guys there will be more updates from the official account tomorrow but basically Gorbagana has so far been an amazing ride for me and I have learned a ton and will cherish you all (even the annoying pump/dumpers lmao)

There are about 16+ people all working on this furiously, mostly with little financial incentive and facing a fair number of hard costs (hosting etc.) to bring Gorbagana mainnet to life as an absurdist SVM alt-L1. Between your donations and the revenues from the NFT gorbagio mint-out, they are now well positioned to do so.

Gorbagios NFT art should be finalized in a week and a half or so and there will be previews in the meantime.

Gorbagana mainnet will initially be a MEV-free single validator. $GOR migration will be through a two-way bridge, with some gradually unlocking GOR inflation on the Gorbagana-chain side to allow for dev incentives, liquidity mining, validator rewards, etc. The bridge will also work for SOL, but rate-limited to ramp up security over time while keeping the dumpster fire burning.

As previously stated, I will stay involved in a 'Trash Chairman' and Chief Vibes Officer type role--monitoring the situation and bolstering trash-tastic memetics. But the real people you want to know about and talk to are these guys:

Guys please stop making memecoins relating to me and people I know. This was a onetime temporary thing for me after a joke between me and Toly spawned many memecoins and I felt kind of responsible to shepherd the resulting frenzy to a positive outcome (which I did).

I will not be helping these other coins and if it continues to get out of hand after this message I will Vitalik (i.e. dump) the ones you send to deter the behavior

On GOR, I have largely handed the baton off to the community and some seemingly competent/trustworthy devs who large GOR holders seem to know and vouch for and I also diligenced for social proof and in some cases doxxed. It's running by itself in a seemingly constructive way now--a true spontaneous uprising from the trenches. A true community (albeit pure TRASH lol). I will keep spreading the meme and enjoying the lulz here like all of you but it won't be my main focus.
