Why I Started Exploring the Babylon Ecosystem

As someone who holds Bitcoin for the long run, I often find myself leaving my assets sitting idle in a wallet. While the idea of using them in DeFi sounds appealing, the thought of wrapping or bridging BTC across different chains always makes me hesitate. Losing direct control over my native assets is a risk I am simply not willing to take.

That perspective changed once I started testing the new infrastructure built by @BabylonLabs_io They introduced Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV), a concept that allows us to use native Bitcoin as collateral without giving up ownership of our private keys.

Trying out native BTC-backed borrowing on the testnet felt surprisingly smooth. Being able to keep BTC secure on its native network while borrowing stablecoins like USDC or USDT on Ethereum without relying on centralized intermediaries is a game changer.

The $BABY token plays an essential role in keeping this entire system aligned and functioning seamlessly. This simple hands-on experience really shifted how I view Bitcoin utility. It is refreshing to see high capital efficiency and top-tier security finally coming together without compromising the core principles of Bitcoin.
