đșđž Trump's list of donors for White House ballroom misses the richest man on Earth đ°đïž
A new controversy is brewing as the White House unveiled donors for Donald Trumpâs $300 million ballroom project â and Elon Muskâs name is notably absent.
đž Tech Titans Fund the Ballroom
The planned 90,000-square-foot ballroom will host 650 guests, tripling the East Roomâs capacity. The privately funded project includes donations from Appleâs Tim Cook, Jeff Bezosâ Amazon, Mark Zuckerbergâs Meta, Google, Microsoft, Coinbase, Tether America, HP, Hard Rock International, and T-Mobile. Trump himself pledged to contribute.
However, Musk, once among Trumpâs closest allies and head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), is missing â surprising many given his $288 million support for Trumpâs 2024 campaign.
đ€ Why Musk Stepped Back
Muskâs absence follows a public rift with Trump. Earlier this year, he said at the Qatar Economic Forum,
âI think Iâve done enough. Iâll do a lot less political spending in the future.â
The fallout began after Trump backed legislation ending EV tax credits, impacting Tesla. Musk criticized the âbig beautiful bill,â citing deficit concerns and hinting at forming a third party. Trump then warned he could revoke Muskâs government contracts and subsidies.
đ Cooling Ties
Despite tensions, Trump recently softened his stance, saying,
âHeâs a good man. He got off the reservation incorrectly, and thatâs okay.â
Still, Muskâs absence from the donor list signals the cooling of a once-powerful partnership â leaving Washington watchers wondering if reconciliation is truly on the horizon.
