If you’ve been waiting to scoop up XRP under $2, you might’ve missed your shot, at least according to some well-known voices in the crypto space.
Oscar Ramos, a popular XRP commentator, shared in a livestream that he doesn’t think XRP will ever drop below $2 again. He said he’d love to buy at that level, joking, “I want to buy XRP at $2 again. I want to buy the dip.” But with the way things are going, he’s not expecting that dip to come back anytime soon.
During his stream, the price of XRP was sitting at around $3.50. Ramos noted that the whole market is changing. Bitcoin’s dominance has dropped from 66% to 60%. This matters because when Bitcoin dominance drops, it usually means altcoins like XRP are starting to gain ground.
This could signal we’re moving into a full altcoin season. That’s when non-Bitcoin tokens begin to surge and reach new highs. That’s another reason Ramos thinks the sub-$2 price zone might be gone for good.

He’s not the only one saying this. XRP supporter Edoardo Farina recently said most people can no longer afford to buy 10,000 XRP, which was worth over $22,000 when he made the comment.
Another community member, Xena, pointed out that even 1,000 XRP costs more than $3,000 now, which feels out of reach for a lot of retail investors.
Still, XRP hasn’t been all green candles. After hitting $3.50, the XRP price dropped to about $3.07, a 12% drop in just 24 hours, and a bit over 2% down for the week. So yeah, there’s still some volatility in play.
But despite the pullback, the bigger picture for XRP still looks strong to many.
With altcoins gaining momentum, Bitcoin dominance slipping, and the community buzzing, XRP price might just be entering a new era.
So if you were hoping for another $2 dip… You might be waiting a while.
