According to PANews, Spanish banking giant BBVA has announced the launch of Bitcoin and Ethereum trading and custody services for local retail customers. These services can be accessed directly through the bank's mobile application. The initiative complies with the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), marking Spain as the third country where BBVA offers cryptocurrency services, following Switzerland and Turkey.
Previously, BBVA had advised affluent clients to consider investing in Bitcoin.
