Happy Saturday. Pour something warm. This one is going to be a proper sit-down conversation.
Bitcoin pulled back to $79,743 this morning. Down from $82,305 earlier this week. The US jobs report came in at 115,000 — nearly double what economists expected — and strong economic data pushed the dollar higher and crypto lower.
And here's my honest reaction to all of that:
I'm not worried. Not even a little.
Let me tell you why.
This week was the most fundamentally important week for crypto that I've witnessed in 2026. And I don't mean the price. I mean what actually happened underneath the price.
JPMorgan completed a real cross-border Treasury settlement on the XRP Ledger. Not a test. A real transaction. The largest bank in America using Ripple's infrastructure to move tokenized assets across borders instantly.
20 banks and tech giants are now formally queued at Anchorage Digital waiting to issue regulated stablecoins — since the Genius Act passed. Twenty. Major. Institutions. All about to put stablecoins into the world. All of them needing Ethereum rails, Chainlink oracles, and XRP cross-chain liquidity.
Tom Lee stood on the main stage at Consensus 2026 and told 20,000 people that the crypto winter is over, that tokenization and AI agentic finance are the narratives driving the next decade, and that crypto-native firms will replace half of the world's legacy financial institutions within ten years.
John Bollinger — the man who invented the technical indicator that bears his name — said his trend models just turned positive on Bitcoin for the first time in months.
Chainlink recovered 18% from its lows this week — from $8.38 to $9.92 — as the market started pricing in what Goldman Sachs, SWIFT, Western Union, and the US Department of Commerce already know: Chainlink is the oracle infrastructure that makes ALL of the tokenization and AI agent finance work.
And Solana is sitting at $85 — holding $83 support for three straight weeks — with Alpenglow confirmed for Q3, two ETF applications active, and the CLARITY Act Senate roundtable happening Monday morning.
Monday morning.
Two days from now.
And then five days after that — Kevin Warsh takes over from Jerome Powell as Fed Chair. Warsh is seen as more market-friendly. Rate cut expectations will build. Risk-on sentiment will return.
I want to be honest about the pullback. $79,743 is not $82,305. The jobs data is real. Strong employment means the Fed has less pressure to cut rates. And rate cuts are one of the biggest potential catalysts for the next leg up.
But here's the thing about this pullback — exchange reserves are STILL at 7-year lows. Whales are STILL accumulating. Michael Saylor just tweeted "Buy more bitcoin than you sell" for the 12th consecutive week. ETF inflows didn't stop.
The pullback is a speed bump. Not a U-turn.
So here's my Saturday take:
Rest this weekend. The market needs to breathe too. Monday brings the CLARITY Act roundtable. Wednesday brings the new Fed Chair. May 29 brings CME 24/7 trading. July 4 brings the CLARITY Act deadline.
The calendar has never been more packed with catalysts.
And we're sitting here on a Saturday at $79,743 — still above the 200-day moving average, still in confirmed bull territory, still with institutional money flowing in, still with the entire regulatory landscape shifting in our favor.
