Adam Back's Dismissal of the Bitcoin #quantum Threat
Bitcoin's renowned developer and #Blockstream CEO, Adam Back, has firmly stated that Bitcoin's Taproot upgrade is sufficient to protect it from the threat of quantum computing.
In a recent Twitter response, Back said that Taproot was designed from the outset for this very purpose, and this upgrade has the capability to provide protection against quantum attacks. He said that even if a real quantum threat were to emerge, the Bitcoin network could simply disable "key-path spends."

The language runs on Bitcoin’s stateless UTXO (unclaimed transaction output) model, rather than the global state model of Ethereum’s Solidity, which requires all contract data to be transmitted in every transaction for increased security.
Simplicity intentionally excludes high-risk features like recursion and unbounded loops that have caused vulnerabilities in other blockchain ecosystems, and includes SimplicityHL, a higher-level implementation to simplify development.
