According to Odaily, Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood has drawn parallels between the early Reagan administration and the current economic climate under U.S. President Donald Trump. Wood highlighted that during Reagan's tenure, Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker increased the federal funds rate from 10% to 20%, which led to consecutive recessions starting in 1983. Despite these challenges, Reagan's policies initiated one of the most prosperous periods in financial market history, lasting 15 to 20 years, with both stock and bond markets thriving. Wood believes that, given the significantly lower interest rates today, the stock market is poised to be the primary beneficiary of President Trump's policies.
