Fellow Binancians,
Binance is excited to introduce Fund Accounts, the industry’s first crypto exchange solution built to enable fund managers to pool their investors’ assets based on trading strategies. Leveraging Binance’s advanced technology and robust account management infrastructure, Fund Accounts streamlines operations and enhances trading efficiency by allowing fund managers to consolidate investor assets into omnibus accounts and manage trading strategies seamlessly.
Built with traditional finance infrastructure in mind, this innovative solution enables fund managers to consolidate externally-raised investor assets into one or multiple omnibus accounts (“Fund Accounts”). As such, fund managers are able to focus on trading while managing portfolios and performance reporting seamlessly. Investors and fund managers would have entered into their own separate agreement regarding subscription and redemption. Investors can redeem their share of assets as per the agreed terms.
Streamlined portfolio management: Fund Accounts enable the consolidation of investor assets into a single omnibus account, reducing operational complexity and enabling more efficient strategy execution for fund managers.
Flexibility in strategy execution: Fund managers can create multiple fund accounts, allowing for diverse trading strategies while maintaining a centralized structure and reducing operational overheads.
NAV-Based Fund Valuation: Fund Accounts adopt a NAV per unit concept, common in traditional finance (TradFi), providing clear and trackable metrics for each fund. This standardizes crypto asset management, allowing fund managers and investors to accurately track their entitlements in the respective fund accounts.
Investor diversification: By setting up multiple fund accounts, fund managers can more easily serve a diverse range of investors based on risk levels and tailor trading strategies accordingly.
Building Trust Between Fund Managers and Investors: Binance's robust account management system ensures secure asset storage and offers fund managers the flexibility for efficient trading, fostering trust in the crypto asset management industry and easing entry for new fund managers.
Scaling Business Growth: Fund managers can expand fund size without additional operational costs by pooling assets, simplifying the scaling of digital asset investments previously hindered by complex, costly separate account management.
