**Crypto VC Funding Surges in March**
Despite market jitters, venture capital funding in the blockchain sector thrived in March. Notably, Across Protocol raised $41M for its Ethereum crosschain platform, with backing from Paradigm and Coinbase Ventures. Crossmint secured $23.6M to enhance Web3 onboarding tech, led by Ribbit Capital. Abound, a remittance app, garnered $14M from Near Foundation and Circle Ventures. Chronicle raised $12M for its Ethereum Oracle services, while Halliday and Validation Cloud closed $20M and $15M rounds, respectively, to boost blockchain development tools. Skytale Digital launched a $20M Polkadot Ecosystem Fund.
Bitcoin's price took a hit, dropping from $87,241 to $81,331 in late March, wiping out gains from earlier weeks. This 6.8% dip led to $230 million in liquidated bullish futures positions, mirroring the S&P 500's downturn. Despite the price struggle, four indicators suggest strong investor confidence and potential Bitcoin independence from traditional markets.
Gold surged to a record high, while the US dollar weakened. Bitcoin's mining hashrate hit an all-time high, showing miner resilience. Exchange reserves dropped to a 6-year low, hinting at long-term holding. Investors remain confident, buoyed by corporate adoption and stable ETF flows.
CZ orders no further transfers and sends millions of tokens to burn address
From his address, Binance founder CZ has burnt tokens valued millions of dollars.
Already delivered to a burn address are TUT and Broccoli coins valued over $3.5 million.
Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the founder of Binance, acknowledged via X on Monday that he had moved numerous very valuable tokens from his account to a burn address, a kind of wallet used to permanently eliminate assets from circulation.
Based on CZ's post, the value of the tokens moved fell between six and seven digits. Although certain artificial intelligence systems exist to automatically remove this kind of token, he pointed out they have not been thoroughly security tested. CZ indicated he will do the remaining transactions at another point.
CZ penned, "Sent a few high-value tokens (6 or 7 figures) on my address to a burn address," adding a request: "Please do not send more tokens to the address expecting an interaction."
On-chain information reveals the burn included:
TUT at $1.95 million
$1.1 million in Broccoli (caAb)
Broccoli (6714) at $546,000
Token distribution to a burn address efficiently eliminates them from circulation, therefore limiting overall supply. In crypto tokenomics, this is a standard technique to modify supply and maybe affect price.
Two of the most prominent meme tokens the BNB Chain has seen recently are "Broccoli" and "T Tutorial," (TUT).
Rising in popularity with a larger memecoin trend connected to Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) and his public interaction with the ecosystem were these currencies.
After CZ mentioned his dog Broccoli, which led to the release of multiple unrelated tokens under the same name, community conjecture helped the Broccoli coins gain traction.
Born out of a popular instructional video demonstrating how to produce and use a token on BND Chain, TUT, or "T Tutorial," debuted early in 2025.

$BTC FTXâs repayment saga rolls on! After kicking off with payouts for claims under $50K on February 18, the next wave hits May 30, 2025, targeting claims over $50K.
Hereâs the catch: repayments are pegged to crypto prices from FTXâs bankruptcy filing on November 11, 2022, and dished out in USD with a 9% annual interest bump until payout day. FTX touts creditors could see up to 118% of their funds back - but that figureâs a head-scratcher. It sidesteps the jaw-dropping crypto gains since the collapse:
$BTC: +500%
$ETH: +40%
$XRP: +450%
$SOL: +650%
So, while the USD payback sounds hefty, itâs a far cry from what those coins are worth now. Fair deal or shortchangedâhow do you see this playing out for FTXâs creditors?
