Largest Layer2 Project Airdrop Ever! ZKSync Opens Claim for 3.675 Billion $ZK Tokens

The Ethereum Layer2 scaling solution, ZKSync, has launched its highly anticipated airdrop, allowing early users and adopters to claim 3.675 billion ZK tokens. The number of wallets eligible for the airdrop has reached 695,232, making it the largest airdrop in history for a major Layer2 project.

According to the token distribution details released by ZKSync's developer, Matter Labs, the total supply of ZK tokens is 21 billion. The allocation breakdown is as follows: 17.5% for the airdrop, 19.9% for ecosystem incentives (distributed by the zkSync Foundation), 29.3% allocated to the Token Assembly, 17.2% allocated to investors, and 16.1% allocated to the Matter Labs team.

Matter Labs stated that the tokens allocated to investors and the team will be locked for the first year and then gradually unlocked over a 3-year period from June 2025 to June 2028.
