Uniswap: volume is changing UNI history
#uniswap | There’s a piece of data that holders of $UNI should take a look at.

Hayden Adams, founder of Uniswap, said that UNI’s annualized burn rate has already surpassed $250 million, driven by the strong activity volume of the protocol.
Important: we’re talking about an annualized rate, not $250 million in cash burned over the course of this year. But the figure is still interesting because it directly links a core variable—the protocol’s usage—with the token’s economics.

And UNI is tracking the move: it’s currently around $6.6, up close to 68% over the last 30 days, according to market data.

This raises a question that I think is much more important than just looking at the chart: can real DeFi growth become a catalyst for the tokens of these protocols again?
