U.S. stock futures were lower in premarket trading on August 11, with Dow futures down 0.11%, Nasdaq 100 futures down 0.05%, and S&P 500 futures down 0.06%. According to Sina Finance, most popular Chinese ADRs fell before the open, with Nio down more than 4%, JD.com down more than 3%, and Alibaba, New Oriental, NetEase, and Baidu Group down more than 2%.

The optical communications sector also fell across the board in premarket trading, while Applied Optoelectronics dropped more than 3%. According to Sina Finance, memory chip stocks rose broadly before the open, and SK Hynix gained 0.89%.
