I lost 31.73$ in one day on TUT and BMT .. and these are my three mistakes
Today was one of the hardest days of my trading, and I decided to share my real loss instead of posting fake profits like some people.
My trades for today 09-08-2026:
• TUTUSDT 4x trade: loss -17.88$ return -146.72%
Entered at 0.14293 and exited at an average close of 0.19519 • TUTUSDT 9x trade: loss -0.45$ (liquidated) • BMTUSDT 7x trade: loss -4.78$ return -162.22% • TUTUSDT 4x trade: loss -8.62$ return -130.66%
Total was more than 31$ in less than 10 hours
Where was the mistake
1. Entering against the trend: all my trades were short while TUT and BMT were in a crazy uptrend. I thought, “It went up too much, so it has to drop,” but the market didn’t work that way. 2. High leverage with new coins: I used 9x and 7x on very volatile meme coins. With coins like these, even a 5% reversal can liquidate your account. 3. Holding onto the loss: I left a trade open for 7 hours and 10 minutes hoping the price would return, and that increased both the funding fees and the psychological loss.
What I learned
From today, I decided to apply the 2% rule: I won’t risk more than 2% of my capital in any single trade, and I’ll stop trading after two consecutive losses.
I’m sharing this not for pity, but because I’m sure many of you went through the same experience today with TUT
