The South Korean internet giant Naver officially confirmed that Nvidia (NVDA) will acquire $1,000 million in shares of the company issued in a new offering.
The deal aims to finance the construction and expansion of a massive AI data center infrastructure (AI Factories) in South Korea.
๐๏ธ Expansion to a gigawatt with Brookfield
The alliance also includes the private equity firm Brookfield, reaching a joint initiative of up to $10,000 million.
The project will increase Naverโs GAK Sejong data center capacity from 55 to 200 megawatts by 2028, with a long-term goal of deploying 1 gigawatt of power powered by the Nvidia DSX platform.
