China has sold off $663 billion worth of US Treasury bonds.

Currently, it only holds $659 billion—its lowest level since 2008.
On the other hand, China’s gold reserves have risen continuously for 17 months, reaching $303 billion—a new record.
The amount of gold it bought this year is nearly double the total amount purchased in all of 2025.
