$PROM 4 hours RSI drops to 97.7. Extremely overbought.

I’ve seen this kind of spot too many times. When sentiment is pushed to the peak, a pullback isn’t far off.

This PROM rally was too aggressive. In 24 hours, it surged 30%, going straight from 1.30 to 1.786. The last two 4-hour candlesticks saw volume expand to 5–6 times the average—classic signs of a sentiment acceleration phase.

Current price: 1.699. The 4-hour EMA9 is at 1.466, and the EMA21 is at 1.383. Price is deviated from EMA9 by over 15%. This kind of deviation usually can’t last: either it goes sideways until the moving averages catch up, or it directly retraces. Based on historical experience, the latter is more common.

MACD (4h) is 0.07—positive, but the slope is slowing. After spiking to 1.786 on the previous candle, it closed with a long upper wick; it closed at 1.699, suggesting sell pressure from above has already started to appear. Around 1.78 is a strong short-term resistance zone. It’s been tested twice but failed to hold.

Support to watch: first at 1.593, the low of the previous candle. Second, around the 1.42 area, the upper edge of the consolidation range before the launch. Further down, 1.30 is the breakout start point of this move.

Funding rate: -0.000245—shorts are paying longs. It looks like shorts are trapped, but the absolute value isn’t large yet, not to the level of extreme squeeze. The mark price is 1.702, slightly higher than the current price, implying the spot side still has support—not purely a funding/leveraged market.

On the daily chart, it surged from 1.24 to 1.78, with a 43% swing. For a single-day move of this magnitude, the next day is very likely to differentiate: either sideways consolidation at high levels to digest profit-taking, or a direct retracement of 20% to 30%. Chasing longs carries extremely high risk.

My view: short-term bias is bearish. RSI at 97.7 is not a level to chase—it’s a level to reduce exposure.

Nini’s plan:
Current price: 1.699
Direction: bearish
Execution conditions: If there’s a volume-spike stall near 1.75 or a long upper wick appears, try a short with a light position.
Entry range: 1.73 - 1.77
Stop-loss: 1.80
Targets: 1.55 / 1.42

After such a sharp rally, patience is more valuable than courage. Wait until it reveals a crack on its own, then act.
