Michael Saylor stated that Strategy is in discussions with MSCI regarding the possibility of MSCI considering removing Strategy (MicroStrategy) from the index because the company primarily buys and holds bitcoin, leading MSCI to believe that its operational model resembles that of an investment fund rather than a functioning business. The goal is to alleviate short-term capital demand pressure in the banking system. 🔸 Repo operations involve the FED lending money to banks for very short periods, typically overnight, using government bonds as collateral. Banks commit to repurchasing these assets later at a higher price. This is not money printing as many might think, because the money will return to the FED, but it indicates that liquidity in the system remains tight.
