⚠️ Limitations of Plasma
Even with strong scalability, Plasma faces challenges:
⏳ Slow Withdrawals
Exit periods often last 7 days or more.
😕 Complex User Experience
Exiting, challenge games, and state management are not beginner-friendly.
🔄 Limited Smart Contract Support
General-purpose contracts are difficult compared to zk-rollups and optimistic rollups.
📦 Data Availability Issues
Plasma does not store transaction data on L1, making it vulnerable to operator withholding (unless hybridized with DA layers).
