21Shares AG introduces first U.S. crypto index ETFs under 1940 Act
Swiss digital-assets manager 21Shares has launched two U.S. crypto index exchange-traded funds (ETFs) the FTSE Crypto 10 Index ETF and the FTSE Crypto 10 ex-Bitcoin ETF with expense ratios of 0.50 % and 0.65 % respectively. These funds track diversified cryptocurrency baskets (including Ethereum, Solana and Dogecoin) and are structured under the Investment Company Act of 1940. The move signals broader institutional access to crypto-markets beyond single-coin vehicles and could mark a turning point in how mainstream finance integrates digital assets.
