Boundless, developed by RISC Zero, is a decentralized protocol designed to enhance blockchain scalability through zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs). By enabling verifiable off-chain computation while maintaining on-chain security, Boundless allows developers and enterprises to execute complex operations efficiently without sacrificing decentralization. This approach positions Boundless as a key infrastructure layer for scalable, high-performance blockchain applications.

In September 2025, Boundless launched its mainnet, introducing the Proof of Verifiable Work (PoVW) consensus mechanism. This system rewards participants for generating ZK proofs, supporting a decentralized prover network while incentivizing secure and efficient computation. The launch marked a major milestone, demonstrating Boundless’s capability to handle real-world workloads at scale.

The native token, ZKC, plays a central role in the ecosystem. It is used for staking, transaction fees, and governance, creating economic incentives aligned with network growth. Following the mainnet launch, Binance listed ZKC and conducted a 15 million token airdrop to BNB holders, significantly boosting adoption and community engagement.

Currently, ZKC is trading around $0.54, with a 24-hour trading volume exceeding $400 million. The circulating supply is approximately 200.94 million tokens, about 20% of the total supply. These figures reflect growing market interest and the increasing utility of ZKC within the Boundless ecosystem.

Looking ahead, Boundless aims to expand its integration with additional blockchain platforms and enhance its developer tools. By fostering interoperability, scalability, and secure off-chain computation, the project seeks to become a cornerstone for decentralized applications and a catalyst for the broader adoption of Web3 technologies.
