Michael Saylor, the Executive Chairman of MicroStrategy, expects the Bitcoin market to experience a new bull run as the end of the year approaches, driven by rising institutional demand, particularly from companies and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), alongside a reduction in the economic pressures that negatively impacted the market in the past period.
In an interview with CNBC, Saylor noted that companies relying on Bitcoin as part of their financial reserves are now buying quantities that exceed what is produced daily through mining, creating strong upward pressure on prices.
According to data from the Bitbo platform, about 900 Bitcoins are mined daily, while companies alone are purchasing around 1,755 Bitcoins daily in 2025, while ETF funds are adding nearly 1,430 additional Bitcoins to the daily demand volume. This clear disparity between supply and demand significantly enhances the likelihood of a price increase.
Over the past 24 hours, Bitcoin has traded within a range of $111,369 to $113,301, while its weekly range has been between $111,658 and $117,851, according to CoinGecko data. Saylor commented: “With the recent resistance breakthrough and the easing of some adverse economic winds, I believe Bitcoin will resume its upward journey again by the end of the year.”
He explained that companies investing in Bitcoin are divided into two main categories: the first includes operational companies that use the digital currency as an alternative to distributing profits, and the second includes financial institutions and investment treasuries that use Bitcoin as a strategic digital asset to support their future financial products.
Bitbo is currently tracking about 145 listed companies that have included Bitcoin on their balance sheets, including MicroStrategy, which is one of the largest holders of Bitcoin globally, owning more than 638,985 units of the digital currency.
This trend reflects the increasing institutional reliance on Bitcoin as a key part of long-term financial strategies, and confirms that the market is gradually shifting from speculation to serious institutional adoption.
