Former Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga was hacked, and he promoted a scam token project called 'Kenya Token' through a deepfake video on his X account, which was later deleted. This scam project is very similar to another semi-official token, the Kenya Digital Token (KDT), which itself has some red flags, including internal bundled trading where 141 accounts hold 20% of the token supply. This incident highlights the growing concerns about AI scams and the necessity for investors to remain vigilant in the cryptocurrency space.
