#Bitcoin❗ Fidelity: The illiquid supply of Bitcoin could reach 8.3 million by 2032

Fidelity anticipates that long-term holders and corporate treasuries could lock up more than 6 million BTC by 2025, which would reduce the supply and could drive price dynamics. Around 42% of the current circulating supply of Bitcoin, that is, 8.3 million Bitcoin

, could be "illiquid" in 2032 at the current rate of Bitcoin treasury purchases by companies, according to the asset management firm Fidelity.

In a report published on Monday, Fidelity identified two groups whose supply could be considered illiquid, with the criterion that their Bitcoin supply has increased every quarter or at least 90% of the time over the last four years.

Based on this, it found two groups: long-term Bitcoin holders and publicly traded companies with at least 1,000 BTC, the latter of which have grown this year.

The illiquid supply of Bitcoin means that there is less availability in the open market, which could be positive for the price of Bitcoin.

"We estimate that this combined group will hold more than six million Bitcoin by the end of 2025, which is more than 28% of the 21 million BTC that will exist," Fidelity stated.
