UNDP & Exponential Science Launch Government Blockchain Academy for Public Sector Innovation in 2026
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is partnering with the Exponential Science Foundation to create the Government Blockchain Academy, aimed at helping governments around the world adopt and apply blockchain, AI, and emerging tech for public good.
It will officially launch its first country-level programs in 2026, with preparatory work (curriculum design, stakeholder engagement) starting in the remainder of 2025.
The academy focuses on five pillars:
1. Inclusive Digital Finance
2. Transparent Governance
3. Supply Chain Integrity
4. Climate Resilience
5. Digital Identity Solutions
Programs will include in-person workshops, online modules, leadership forums, advisory support, and use-case implementation guidance. Governments participating will receive technical and implementation support for templated blockchain solutions aligned with national priorities.
