The Somnia project (token SOMI) is a Layer 1 blockchain compatible with EVM, focused on games, entertainment, and the metaverse.
It was officially launched on September 2, 2025, when its mainnet went live along with its native token.
During its testnet phase, lasting about six months, Somnia processed over 10 billion transactions, with more than 70 ecosystem partners.
The project team includes the Virtual Society Foundation, Improbable, as well as prominent investors such as a16z, SoftBank, MSquared, and others.
