Binance Partners with Franklin Templeton Can BNB Achieve New Heights Again Traditional financial giant Franklin Templeton has just officially announced a strategic partnership with Binance. This Wall Street veteran, managing $1.6 trillion in assets, is officially entering the crypto world. The two parties will jointly develop compliant tokenized security products, with Franklin Templeton providing Wall Street-level compliance frameworks and Binance offering top-tier global liquidity infrastructure. Kyrgyzstan is set to establish a national Bitcoin reserve. The Central Asian country of Kyrgyzstan has taken a solid step towards embracing cryptocurrency assets at the national level. The country's parliamentary committee is reviewing an amendment to the (virtual assets law), aimed at formally introducing the concepts of "national mining" and "national cryptocurrency reserves." Minister of Economy and Trade Bakyt Sydykov elaborated on the draft amendments, stating that the reserves will be established through various means. This includes utilizing state-controlled energy and infrastructure for digital asset mining, tokenizing real-world assets into the reserves, and issuing stablecoins backed by the national fiat currency. The minister emphasized that the strategic goal of establishing reserves is to "strengthen national financial stability and provide new accumulation tools." This indicates that the government is attempting to reduce its excessive reliance on the traditional financial system and is looking for new reserve assets that can hedge against macroeconomic risks. During the committee discussion, the focus was clearly on Bitcoin. Representative Dastan Bekeshev used "mining one Bitcoin" as an example to estimate electricity demand, and the government's preferred reserve source for mining also pointed first to Bitcoin. When Binance co-founder Zhao Changpeng visited the country in May, he suggested using Bitcoin and BNB as the initial assets for the national crypto reserve. To ensure the feasibility of the plan, the government is planning for national mining to use independent electricity tariffs, primarily utilizing the electricity from small hydropower stations.
