U.S. Supreme Court to Decide on Trump’s Global Tariffs

The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to review whether President Donald Trump’s global tariffs are legal. A lower court had earlier ruled that most of these tariffs were excessive and invalid.

The Supreme Court will hear arguments in early November. The case is moving quickly because Trump’s administration asked for a fast decision. The court will also hear a separate case from the toy company Learning Resources, which is challenging the tariffs.

On September 3, Trump said his government would appeal to the Supreme Court soon. He stressed that keeping the current trade policies is very important and warned that if the lower court’s decision takes effect, it could badly harm the country.
