I checked on Igloo Inc., the company behind Pudgy Penguins NFT. Besides developing the Abstract Chain, an Ethereum Layer 2 consumption chain, they have also made several chain games based on Pudgy Penguins IP through in-house development or external licensing, released on their own Abstract Chain and the other two chains, Ton and Mythos.
🔴 About Igloo Inc.
The original Pudgy Penguin team consists of Clayton Patterson, Cole Thereum, Jonah, and user 'the big boss' among four others.
Due to dissatisfaction with the original founding team from the Pudgy Penguins NFT community, in early April 2022, the Pudgy Penguins NFT community and DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) approved entrepreneur Luca Netz and his company Igloo Inc. to acquire the IP rights and related assets of Pudgy Penguins from the original founders for 750 ETH (approximately 2.25 million USD at the time).
The acquisition includes the Pudgy Penguins brand, NFT contracts, social media accounts, and future development rights, but does not include the original team's personal assets or unfulfilled commitments.
🔴 Under the leadership of Igloo Inc., the following Pudgy Penguins chain games were developed.
1. Pudgy World — A social open-world game based on Pudgy Penguins IP, developed in-house by Igloo Inc., initially based on zkSync Era (Ethereum Layer 2).
The game has announced an Alpha test in Q1 2024, and it should have already ended. The latest tweet from the official account is still from January 12, 2024.
2. Vibes TCG — A card battle game authorized by Pudgy IP, developed by Orange Cap Games, officially launched on January 23, 2025, in the Epic Games Store (Initial Release), with on-chain assets hosted on Abstract Chain.
In December 2024, the digital version and physical card packs of the game will be released in Early Access on the Epic Games Store.
✅ This game has a good rating on the Epic Game Store, scoring 4.6 out of 5.
3. LOL Land — A Web3 board game based on Abstract Chain, launched as the first game of YGG Play on May 23 of this year.
The game was originally not developed based on Pudgy Penguin, but later collaborated with Pengu Asia, which is the Pudgy Penguin community in the Asia-Pacific region, to launch a map called Pengu Wonderland, where Bonus Bounty reward activities are operated.
However, a KOL mentioned that the Pudgy Penguins Asia-Pacific community has already incorporated the LOL Land game, and this KOL's tweet was retweeted by LOL Land's official account, which is considered as an acknowledgment.
4. Pengu Clash — Launched on June 18, 2025, as a series of Telegram mini-games on the TON chain.
Launched on August 13, it opened the web version, which is released on the Abstract chain. The S4 season has already started on September 2.
5. Pudgy Party — A mobile multiplayer party game
On August 29, 2025, it will be released on global iOS and Android platforms.
The game assets are released on Mythos Chain, which is a Polkadot ecosystem Appchain developed by Mythical Games.
Among the above games, I have only played Padgy Party. Party games are not my preferred genre, so I didn’t spend money. Currently, it seems that before the game launched, they issued soul-bound SBT NFTs to players, and in-game assets can be traded with Mythos Token on the decentralized NFT trading market Mythical Marketplace.
Mythos Token is $MYTH, which has not yet been listed on major exchanges. Currently, the only commonly used exchanges are Gat* and MEX*.
🔴 Have any players who have played the above chain games share your experiences with these games?
-- Is the game fun? How is the game's production quality and playability? Are there many bugs?
-- How is the game’s token economics and economic system design?
-- How much have you spent? Did you make a profit, and if so, how much? Did you incur any losses, and if so, how much?
