Kava airdrop has created a hierarchy in WeChat groups
Previously, the hierarchy in the group was: contract big shots looked down on spot traders, and spot traders looked down on arbitrageurs. But in the past few weeks, this hierarchy has been completely rewritten—whether or not you have participated in the Kava airdrop has become the new dividing line.
Those who have participated in the SOP have started receiving funds gradually after three weeks. Some with a principal of 50U received 280U; some with a principal of 200U received four-digit amounts. Friends who shared screenshots have been elevated to “upper-level players,” and their words are filled with a sense of superiority.
On the other hand, those who have not participated tend to say things like: "Isn't it too troublesome?" or "Is it really that exaggerated?" But once they see the deposit screenshots, they immediately become self-conscious. Some have even been jokingly labeled as “observers,” losing their voice in the group chat altogether.
The most direct contrast is: some group members have added “Received ✅” after their nickname, while those who haven’t received anything can only remain silent. This invisible hierarchy of disdain is even more painful than the fluctuations in coin prices.
In summary: the speed of updates to the disdain hierarchy in the crypto world is faster than market trends; if you’re not participating in Kava now, it means you’re being marginalized.
