The South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol has ordered vigorous efforts to respond to the arrest of hundreds of Korean citizens in a raid by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at a Hyundai Motor-LG battery plant in the United States.
Approximately 475 workers were arrested - more than 300 of whom are South Korean citizens - on Thursday at the plant located near Savannah, Georgia, in the southern United States, marking the largest single-site enforcement operation carried out by ICE, a division of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
