OpenSea's rewards program is designed to encourage exploration. Participate in the program and complete voyages to earn XP (experience points).

XP is the term used by OpenSea to refer to points. For more information about XP, please visit our terms of service:

Voyage Overview

Voyages are guided journeys where you earn XP by completing on-chain actions and social activities. After successfully completing a voyage, you will earn XP.

There are five rarity levels for voyages (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary), and each level has different appearance intervals each week.

Common, uncommon, rare, and epic voyages offer different levels of experience points, while legendary voyages appear less frequently, mostly in the form of goods, and can yield various rewards, including what we refer to as treasures.

You can view treasures in your rewards profile, and treasure rewards may vary.

How to complete a voyage

First, navigate to the rewards section of your OpenSea account:

  • opensea.io/en/rewards

You can also click the “settings” gear icon to link your Solana, Abstract, or Ethereum wallets to the same rewards profile, allowing you to complete Voyages across EVM, Solana, and Abstract ecosystems, regardless of which ecosystem your main wallet is in.

You should complete this step before finishing cross-chain Voyages, and you need to manually complete it in your rewards settings regardless of whether you have previously connected other wallets to OpenSea.

If you did not complete it during the rewards acquisition period and want to complete the social media voyage, you may also choose to connect your X and Discord accounts using your rewards settings.

Even if you have connected your social media accounts to your OpenSea account, if you wish to complete a social media voyage, you still need to additionally connect them in your rewards profile.

You can only connect your social media accounts to one rewards profile at a time.

Follow the instructions on the voyage to complete the tasks, and after finishing, click “Claim Reward.” You can also check the release time of the new voyage.

For voyages you completed on social media after leaving OpenSea, please return to the “Voyages” tab and click “Check Completion.” If completed, you will earn XP related to that voyage.

Once a voyage expires, it will disappear from the voyages tab.

To view your own reward activities, including the amount of XP you earned from each voyage, click on the “My Activity” tab.

You will see your loyalty percentage on the rewards panel, and loyalty will play an important role in future rewards.

Other ways to earn XP

OpenSea may periodically airdrop “Shipments,” which are surprise XP bundles allocated to users based on targets or specific actions. In some cases, Shipments will consider your loyalty to OpenSea, and the specific ratio will be reflected on the rewards page.

You can view received Shipments in the “Voyages” tab; they will only display when there are available valid Shipments.

You cannot request or predict when or if you will receive goods, although we may leave hints on account X, we cannot guarantee that you will receive any goods.

Not eligible to participate in the voyage

To ensure the fairness and equity of the rewards program for all users, we reserve the right to limit or prohibit any user from participating at our discretion, including but not limited to suspected manipulation (including multi-wallet manipulation), abuse, violation of terms of service, or behaviors that we believe are inconsistent with the spirit or intent of the program.

If you encounter such a situation, you may see a “Suspicious activity detected” message in the rewards portal or may be unable to access program features.

This will not affect your account status on OpenSea. If you believe this decision is incorrect, please contact the OpenSea support team.

When completing the voyage on OpenSea, you can only use one rewards account.

Rewards FAQ

Will I lose XP?

  • OpenSea reserves the right to remove XP from any account that undermines the integrity of our platform, attempts to manipulate or abuse the rewards program, or otherwise violates our terms of service.

Will my loyalty score affect the amount of XP I earn?

  • Currently, loyalty does not affect the amount of XP you can earn from the voyages. However, for certain goods, OpenSea may consider your loyalty. Please note that goods cannot be requested or predicted.

If I think my XP balance is incorrect, can I appeal?

  • OpenSea cannot manually allocate XP to user accounts based on requests. However, if you believe there is a significant error, please contact a member of our support team through our help center.

I previously earned XP in the listing/offer rewards program or private beta; how is the treatment different now?

  • For those users who participated in our rewards program during the testing period, your progress has been stored in your top three treasures, reflecting your feedback contributions, beta version and first wave of XP, as well as the number of goods you successfully acquired.

  • These three treasures each have six levels, determined by your ranking during the testing period, and can be claimed after you log into the new rewards portal for the first time. These three treasures will be considered part of our rewards program, and the XP you see in your rewards profile now reflects the newly acquired XP from this wave.
