🥳 Altseason has begun — but not the way everyone expected! 🔼 Most of the metrics tracking altcoin growth revolve around the 75 mark — and the index is already at 78. Formally, “alts are pumping”, but looking at the portfolio, you wouldn’t say so: some coins are dead, and pumps are showing only in certain sectors. To break down the mechanics: 🟡 The index measures the performance of the top 50 altcoins (excluding stablecoins) over the last 90 days. 🟡 It checks how many of them outperformed BTC. 🟡 If >75% of alts outperform Bitcoin ➡️ that’s Altcoin Season. 🟡 If <25% ➡️ that’s Bitcoin Season. 🟡 Anything in between ➡️ “neither fish nor fowl.” ➕ Over the past week, ETH trading volume has dropped, while alt volumes have surged sharply.
