Liquidation is the most authentic breath of the market. Every data jump tells the life and death moments of the long-short game!
Hello everyone, I am Block Gold. As a crypto analyst, I use plain language to help you interpret this liquidation data chart: On the left are the liquidation amounts of each coin, with ETH bearing the largest thunder at $33.79 million USD, followed closely by BTC; on the right is the statistical analysis from a time perspective - nearly $89.67 million USD liquidated across the entire network within 1 hour, with long positions accounting for $88.1 million of the liquidations, which is simply a "massacre" for the bulls. The 12-hour data is even more astonishing, with $159 million USD in long liquidations and only $26.9 million in short liquidations, indicating that the market sentiment was greedy but suddenly reversed, and most of the retail investors died on the road to chasing the rise.
My view is that liquidation data is the "blood pressure monitor" of market sentiment. For example, a huge number of ETH long positions were liquidated in one hour, most likely due to a sudden sharp drop that triggered a series of leveraged contract liquidations - this is like what happened to SOL last month, when a negative rumor caused it to fall 20% in 10 minutes, resulting in a large number of long positions being wiped out. Behind the data is actually human nature: greed for high leverage, blindly following the crowd, unwillingness to set stop losses... these are all invisible drivers of liquidation.
