Congressman Nikolas Ferreira and the PL (Brazilian Socialist Party) tried hard, but failed to prevent the oversight of the PCC's money laundering scheme.
Finance Minister Fernando Haddad, whose proposal to monitor suspicious transactions was shot down after a disinformation campaign led by Congressman Nikolas Ferreira, his PL (Brazilian Socialist Party) party, and other Bolsonaro supporters, said that "starting tomorrow, all Fibintecha (Brazilian Financial Institutions) will have to provide the same clarifications on financial transactions as banks, and from then on, we will be able to unravel other money laundering schemes more quickly."

The Federal Police indicate that approximately R$52 billion from criminal organizations has passed through fintechs over the last four years.
