Foresight News reports that Pyth Network has been selected by the U.S. Department of Commerce to verify and distribute on-chain economic data for the U.S. government. Pyth will initially provide quarterly GDP data for the past five years, and Pyth's contributors are expected to expand this initiative to support a broader economic data set.
Foresight News previously reported that, according to Bloomberg, the U.S. government began publishing Gross Domestic Product (GDP) data on a public blockchain on Thursday, initially covering nine blockchains, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana.
