Friends often ask me how I turned 50,000 USDT into 1,000,000 USDT. My answer may disappoint you: it's not that I'm so good, but rather that I've fallen into many more pitfalls than you.

When I first entered the market in 2013, I was just as superstitious about the 'hundredfold myth' as everyone else. I heavily invested in altcoins, high-leverage contracts, and traded based on rumors... I didn't miss a single one of those pitfalls. The worst moment was during the ICO frenzy in 2017; I invested in 10 projects, 9 of which went to zero, and one of which ran away with the funds. My initial capital of 50,000 USDT was reduced to just 8,000 USDT.

The real turning point began with the crash in 2018. When I saw my account drop from 500,000 USDT to 80,000 USDT, I finally understood: in this market, survival is the top priority. So I set three rules for myself:

Never use more than 3x leverage on contracts

Cut losses decisively, gradually increase positions when profitable

Withdraw 20% of profits each year

The crash on March 12, 2020, was the touchstone of my system. That day, the market halved in an instant, but because I strictly cut losses, I only retraced 15%. More crucially, after the crash, I started building positions in batches, using unrealized profits to roll over, and in the subsequent bull market, I increased my position from 100,000 USDT to 800,000 USDT.

Over the past ten years, I've fallen into three major pitfalls: The first pit: Leverage trap. I once made 100,000 USDT in a day with 20x leverage, only to be liquidated the next day. Now I never go above 3x. The second pit: Altcoin delusion. I used to heavily invest in the 'next Bitcoin', but now I only trade BTC and ETH. The third pit: Blind bottom-fishing. I used to think that a 50% drop meant it was the bottom, only to end up buying halfway down. Now I only do right-side trading.

Now my account exceeds 1,000,000 USDT, but what's truly valuable are the lessons I've accumulated over these ten years. One of my apprentices said it well: 'The master's strategy may seem clumsy, but it allows one to sleep soundly at night.'

After ten years in the crypto world, my deepest realization is: there is no holy grail in this market; the only shortcut is to make fewer mistakes. When you can control your losses, profits will naturally come to you.

So don't ask me how I made 1,000,000 USDT; ask yourself how many pitfalls you're willing to exchange for it. My journey to a million was actually buying a ticket to the game with a tuition of 50,000 USDT, and the remaining 950,000 USDT is the market's reward for my fewer mistakes.

In the past, I stumbled around in the dark alone; now I hold the light.
