The market has been around for so long, and there are plenty of scammers encountered. Here’s a summary of their tricks:
1. If they add your contact information:
After the scammer adds you, they will start chatting with you, reaching out for several consecutive days, showing concern for you, and casually boasting about how much they earn. They will usually tell you they make money through contracts, futures, options, etc., but they will definitely not tell you to honestly stick to spot trading.
2. Chatting every day, they will lead you step by step to get you to let them help you make money, thus putting you in their trap.
3. They usually ask you to download an exchange, which is highly likely to be a shell exchange. For example, they might give you a link to download the OKEx exchange, and while the icon looks like OKEx, the actual content is made by them. When you transfer your funds there, it is equivalent to transferring them into the scammer's wallet, and all you will see is a string of numbers.
4. Don't play with recommended 'shitcoins,' especially those that require authorization. Do not authorize any wallets; this is where it’s easiest to lose money. If you have never played on the blockchain, just stick to your secondary market.
These are the scams experienced by people in my group, but in these kinds of scams, many new players lose huge amounts, even millions. If you encounter new scams, feel free to share in the comments.
