The gang lured victims with a worthless 'GCV (Golf Cart Victoria)' fake cryptocurrency, claiming that purchasing tokens would grant golf membership in Asia, deceiving 129 victims and defrauding approximately 5.7 billion won (about 4.3 million USD).

After a year-long investigation, the police successfully captured the suspects and collected relevant evidence, stating that they will track the criminal proceeds to help the victims recover their losses.
