I just saw a message that really surprised me! WLFI is actually going to distribute 20% of the protocol fees directly to $AAVE, and there will also be 7% of the $WLFI governance token supply allocated to them.
To be honest, I find this operation quite interesting. 20% of the protocol fees is no small amount! Plus the 7% governance tokens, this is basically giving $AAVE money and power.
I'm now wondering what WLFI's intention behind this operation is? Are they trying to win over $AAVE to establish a deeper partnership, or is there a bigger strategy at play? After all, in the DeFi space, there’s no such thing as a free lunch.
However, from an investment perspective, this is definitely good news for $AAVE holders! Directly receiving a share of the protocol fees and getting governance tokens is practically a guaranteed win. But I am also a bit concerned that such a large allocation might impact WLFI's own token economic model. After all, distributing such a large piece of the pie will definitely put pressure on their own development funds.
In short, this news is quite shocking, and it feels like there will be new changes in the DeFi space again. #wifl
